THEMES: Off the beaten track
You are expected to arrive at the Hanoi Station at 5pm for get on the night train to Lao Cai.
Overnight in the soft compartment for 4 people on the train.
The train will take you to Lao Cai at 5.30am the following day. You will have your breakfast in a local restaurant nearby. After that, you are transferred to the Ta Van village of Giay minority to start the intriguing hike from Ta Van village to Giang Ta Chai village of Red Yao. The trekking journey continues to reach Seo Trung Ho Village and you would stay with a host family there.
Transfer: 17km / trekking: approx. 7 hours (18km)
On the next day, you will have a warming breakfast with the host family before climbing the mountain to the village of Ta Trung Ho, which is at an altitude of 1450 meters. Picnic lunch on the way. You will discover the phenomenal flora and breathtaking landscapes. After that, you will be driven to your hotel in Sapa and stay there.
From Sapa, we head to Bac Ha and join in the crowd local market there, blending in the life of the H’Mong Hoa at the village of Ban Pho to get to know the fascinating cultures.

Transfer: 3 hours/trekking: 2 hours (easy)
After having breakfast with the host family, you can visit another ethnic market or go hiking in ethnic villages in Bac Ha. Then drive on the road 279 to Ha Giang capital province. On the way, you can stop to visit villages and take photos. Transfer to Ha Giang.

Transfer: 5-6 hours
After breakfast at the hotel, you are driven to Dong Van and have lunch in a local restaurant. After that, you wander around the village of Pho Bang, where you will see houses with earth walls and thatched roofs. The next destination is the old palace of the H’mong king at which you can explore interesting ancient cultures of this ethnic minority. After that, you will head back to your hotel in Dong Van in the late afternoon.

Transfers: 5-6 hours
On the seventh day of the trip, we move from Dong Van to Meo Vac on an engrossing road. You can stop by the famous Ma Pi Leng with terraced fields, karst hills, H’mong and Yao stilt houses and the romantic Nho Que River. After that, you head to Meo Vac, where there is a colorful and typical Sunday market.
The journey continues to reach Bao Lac where you can walk to visit Khuoi Khon village of interesting ethnic Lolo.
Transfer: 130 km / Trekking: 2-3 hours (easy)
After having breakfast at the hotel, you are transferred to Cao Bang and you can stop on the way to visit some indigenous villages and meet the locals of Hmong, Lolo, Yao … in North Vietnam. At the noon, you will have lunch in a local restaurant and then drive through Ma Phuc Pass for a nice panoramic view of Quang Uyen, where you can have dinner and stay in a Stelzenhaus. Take a walk in the village and enjoy breath-taking scene.

Breakfast in the hotel. Visit Nguom Ngao Cave, one of the most spectacular caves in Vietnam. This is a natural museum of stalactites and stalagmites. Enjoy lunch while watching the beauty of the waterfall. Continue to Ban Gioc Waterfall, the most famous place in northeastern Vietnam. Waterfall Ban Gioc is impressive during the rainy season (from June to September).
Return to Cao Bang.

Transfer: 90 km
After the breakfast, we head to the dreamy Ba Be Lake on the less crowded way (approx. 120km). Arrive at Ba Be, which is well known for its waterfalls and valleys. Walk to visit Pac Ngoi village of ethnic Tay.
At the end of the day, you can admire the magical sunset over the lake and the tranquil scene. You will dine in a host family in Ba Be and sleep over there. (Stilt house with nice view, mattress and sheets, blanket, fan, shower and clean shared toilet).
After having breakfast with the host family, you will take the boat trip in the magical surroundings of Ba Be Lake and Nang River and visit the cave Puong as well as enjoy further cruise to Dau Dang waterfall. You can take a short pause to appreciate the beauty of this small but striking waterfall.
You will have lunch with the locals before continuing the cruise on the marvelous Nang river. Then you will get off the boat and head back to Hanoi by our private car. It is predicted to arrive at your hotel in Hanoi in the late afternoon.
