Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi, transfer to Mai Chau. Lunch with the host family with local specialties. Walk in the middle of the beautiful landscape with rice and sugarcane fields. You will cross many ethnic villages like Ban Ho 1, Ban Ho 2, Xam Khoe. Then back to Poom Coong village for dinner.
Overnight in a stilt house in Mai Chau.
Breakfast with the host family. Transfer to Moc Chau. Along the way you will find orchards, tea and plum fields. Short break on the way to take photos or walk. They have an opportunity to meet the white, black Thai, Hmong, Muong and other ethnic minorities in mountain region. Many of them go to work or to one of the ethnic markets.
After lunch, visit the prison museum Son La, which recalls the inequality of the former French colonial regime.

Transfers: 4 – 4.5 hours / trekking: 1-2 hours
Breakfast in the hotel. Continue the winding road to Than Uyen, then stop for a walk through Thai villages. Then you drive through the highest pass Tram Ton in Vietnam (2047m). Stop to enjoy the fresh air and watch Fansipan Peak, the roof of Indochina (3143m). Arrival in Sapa, check-in cabin.
Overnight at the hotel in Sapa.
After breakfast, start walking through the village of Sau Chua. The hike goes through the rows of high mountains overlooking the valleys. Then go to the village of Hau Chu Ngai. After lunch, visit the village of Hau Chu Ngai and the local Catholic Church. Continue hiking in a natural environment and through beautiful terraced rice fields and bamboo forests. Visit the village of Giang Ta Chai of the ethnic group
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Bac Ha. When you arrive at the entrance of the market, you will be surprised by the vivid colors of various ethnic minorities like the colorful H’mong, Black H’mong, Tay, Nung. You will have interesting experiences in discovering the customs of various ethnic minorities. After lunch, hike to ethnic villages in Bac Ha. Overnight at host family or at the hotel in Bac Ha.
After breakfast in the hotel. Visit Bac Ha Market, which opens on Sunday morning in the middle of the village of Bac Ha. Lunch at a local restaurant in Bac Ha. Then transfer to Thac Bac at Yen Bai (4 to 5 – hour drive). Arrive in the village of Yao, relax in a stilt house.
Overnight with host family in Thac Ba.
Breakfast with host family. Walk to Ngoi Tu village and the surrounding villages, discover the life of the ethnic Yao. Then boat trip on Thac Bac Lake, one of the largest lakes in Vietnam. The landscape at Thac Ba Lake with several islands on the lake is considered “Halong Bay in the mountains”. You have opportunity to see local people fishing.
Lunch and return to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon.
